Abstract
This study developed an Internet of Things (IoT)-based laboratory equipment lending system using Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technologies. The system integrated an ESP32 microcontroller, NFC reader, BLE tracker, and Supabase database with a web interface for real-time monitoring. Testing showed that 10 out of 13 NFC tags were successfully read at a maximum distance of 3 cm. BLE testing demonstrated stable connectivity up to 2 meters without physical obstacles, while signal strength decreased significantly with barriers. The system's website evaluation using the System Usability Scale method yielded a score of 88.4, indicating excellent usability. These results confirmed the system's effectiveness in improving the efficiency and accuracy of equipment lending and monitoring processes.
