MANFAAT PENGGUNAAN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN EFEKTIFITAS PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

This study aims to identify the benefits of using Learning Management Systems (LMS) in improving the effectiveness of online learning using a quantitative approach. The study emphasizes the role of information technology in creating interactive, flexible, and adaptive learning. LMSs serve as digital platforms that support access to materials, discussion forums, online evaluations, and two-way interaction between lecturers and students. The research method used a descriptive quantitative approach with a Likert-scale questionnaire, involving 345 students from two study programs. The analysis revealed key barriers, including internet connection, infrastructure, applications/software, and signal strength, that impact learning effectiveness. The discussion confirms that LMSs can mitigate both technical and psychological barriers through interactive features, multimedia materials, and learning progress monitoring. The conclusion states that LMSs play a strategic role in increasing student motivation, material understanding, and engagement, thus supporting effective learning in higher education.
