Abstract

In architectural design, the concept of "natural ecosystem integration" refers to incorporating
environmentally friendly materials and natural components such as vegetation, water, and air into the
design of buildings and public spaces to create an environment that is harmonious with nature. The
ultimate goal is to reduce negative impacts on the environment and improve the quality of life for
residents and the surrounding community. The ecological benefits of natural ecosystem integration
include increased biodiversity and habitats for small animals such as birds, insects, and bugs. This not
only maintains biodiversity but also helps create a balanced ecosystem in cities. High biodiversity can
increase environmental resilience to disturbances such as climate change. Natural ecosystem
integration also has significant social and health benefits, including mental and physical health. Access
to natural resources such as plants can improve physical and mental health. A green environment can
reduce stress, speed recovery from illness, and encourage physical activity, according to studies.
People who visit Royal Sentul Park can enjoy a healthier and more comfortable environment. In terms of
social interaction, the green open spaces in the Royal Sentul Park area strengthen community ties and
encourage social interaction. This inclusive and environmentally friendly design enhances the space
where residents can gather, interact, and enjoy nature. This study employed a descriptive or narrative
qualitative research method. This means the researcher indirectly observed the conditions of the
research object, analyzed them, and then described them. This method was used to obtain a genuine
and relevant picture of the research object. This research will demonstrate how integrating natural
ecosystems into architectural design can help address urban environmental challenges and promote
community sustainability and well-being. Therefore, this approach is expected to become an essential
part of future architectural practices that focus on harmony between humans and nature.
