The Meruya Corridor in West Jakarta is part of the Sentra Primer Barat development area, which has experienced rapid growth in commercial, service, and residential functions. This development has generated a spatial dualism between the West Meruya Ilir Corridor and the North Meruya Corridor, resulting in discontinuities in spatial quality. This study adopts the eight urban design elements proposed by Hamid Shirvani as the analytical framework. The research aims to analyze the character and spatial quality of the Meruya Corridor through the eight urban design elements approach. It employs a qualitative-descriptive method with typomorphological analysis and spatial performance evaluation. Data were collected through field observations, visual documentation, GIS mapping (Jakarta Satu), and a review of RDTR documents and local policies. The analysis covers land use, building form and massing, open space, circulation and parking, pedestrian pathways, supporting activities, signage, and preservation. The findings indicate a spatial dualism between the commercially structured West Meruya Ilir Corridor and the mixed residential-commercial North Meruya Corridor, resulting in fragmented pedestrian networks, uneven distribution of open spaces, and a weak visual identity of the area.
