Authorship Criteria

1. Authorship Criteria

SAINSTECH: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengkajian Sains dan Teknologi requires authorship to be based on genuine and substantial scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript. Individuals listed as authors must have contributed meaningfully to the work, approved the final manuscript, and agreed to be accountable for their contributions and the integrity of the research.

Qualifying contributions may include:

  1. Contributing to the conception or design of the research, or to the development of the research objectives and methodology.

  2. Conducting experiments, collecting data, developing software or algorithms, performing simulations, analyzing data, or interpreting research findings.

  3. Drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  4. Approving the final version of the manuscript for submission and publication.

  5. Accepting responsibility for their contributions and cooperating in addressing questions concerning the accuracy or integrity of the research.

All authors must meet the journal's authorship requirements. Individuals whose contributions do not qualify for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately, with their consent, in the Acknowledgments section.

2. Authors' Responsibilities

All authors are jointly responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is prepared honestly, accurately, and in accordance with scholarly publication ethics. Each author must:

  1. Approve the final version of the manuscript submitted to SINUSOIDA.

  2. Ensure that their individual contributions are accurately represented.

  3. Ensure that the research findings, data, methods, and conclusions are reported truthfully and transparently.

  4. Properly cite all sources and acknowledge the contributions of other researchers.

  5. Disclose relevant funding sources and actual or potential conflicts of interest.

  6. Confirm that the manuscript is original and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, in accordance with the journal's submission policy.

  7. Cooperate with the editors in providing clarification, supporting information, or corrections when questions concerning the manuscript's accuracy, validity, or integrity arise.

3. Corresponding Author

The corresponding author serves as the primary contact between all co-authors and the SINUSOIDA editorial office throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes.

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  1. Ensuring that all authors meet the authorship criteria and have approved the manuscript and its submission.

  2. Providing complete and accurate author names, affiliations, and contact information.

  3. Ensuring that all co-authors are informed of editorial decisions, reviewer comments, and requests for revision.

  4. Coordinating the preparation and submission of revised manuscripts.

  5. Communicating relevant information about funding, conflicts of interest, and other required declarations to the editorial office.

The corresponding author must not submit a manuscript on behalf of other authors without their knowledge and approval.

4. Author Order

The order of authors must be agreed upon by all authors before manuscript submission and should reflect their respective scholarly contributions and the conventions of the relevant research field.

SINUSOIDA does not determine author order solely on the basis of academic rank, institutional position, or seniority. All authors are responsible for ensuring that the agreed author order is fair and accurately reflects their contributions.

Any change to the author order after submission requires the agreement of all authors involved and approval from the editorial office.

5. Changes in Authorship

Requests to add or remove an author, change the corresponding author, or modify the order of authors after submission must be submitted in writing to the SINUSOIDA editorial office through the journal's official contact channel.

The request must include:

  1. A clear explanation of the reason for the proposed change.

  2. Written confirmation of agreement from all existing authors.

  3. Written confirmation from any author being added or removed, where applicable.

  4. An explanation of the contributions of any proposed new author.

The editorial office will evaluate the request before making a decision. The journal may request additional documentation or clarification when necessary.

Changes in authorship must not be made unilaterally or used to misrepresent individual contributions. Publication may be delayed while the request is being evaluated.

6. Authorship Approval and Integrity

By submitting a manuscript to SINUSOIDA, the corresponding author confirms that all listed authors are aware of and agree to the submission, the author order, and the version of the manuscript being submitted.

SINUSOIDA does not permit:

  • Gift authorship: Listing an individual as an author without sufficient scholarly contribution.

  • Ghost authorship: Omitting an individual who has made a qualifying scholarly contribution to the research or manuscript.

  • Unauthorized authorship changes: Adding, removing, or reordering authors without the required agreement.

  • Misrepresentation of contributions: Providing inaccurate information about an individual's role in the research or manuscript preparation.

Individuals who provide technical assistance, administrative support, funding, or general supervision without meeting the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately rather than automatically listed as authors.

Allegations of authorship misconduct will be evaluated in accordance with SINUSOIDA's publication ethics policies and relevant editorial procedures.
