Manuscript Type

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

SAINSTECH: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengkajian Sains dan Teknologi accepts scholarly manuscripts that contribute to the advancement of electrical engineering and related fields. Submissions must be relevant to the journal's focus and scope, demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution, and meet academic quality and publication ethics standards. SAINSTECH considers the following two types of manuscripts for publication:

1. Original Research Articles

Original research articles present original research findings and contribute to the development of scientific knowledge, methods, or technological applications. Articles in this category may cover the development and evaluation of algorithms, computational models, data analysis methods, electrical and electronic systems, telecommunications, control systems, robotics, experiments, or the application of technology to address specific problems. Manuscripts must clearly describe the research background and problem, research objectives, methodology, results and discussion, and conclusions supported by the research findings. Articles must also demonstrate clear novelty or scholarly added value in comparison with previous research.

2. Systematic Literature Reviews

Systematic literature reviews present the identification, selection, evaluation, and synthesis of previous research through systematic, transparent, and methodologically sound procedures. Articles in this category must establish clear research questions and describe the literature search strategy, databases used, search keywords, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the selection process for relevant studies. The findings must provide a critical synthesis of the analyzed literature rather than merely summarize individual studies. Articles are expected to identify patterns in research findings, research developments, knowledge gaps, limitations of previous studies, or future research directions relevant to electrical engineering and related fields.

General Manuscript Requirements

All manuscripts submitted to SAINSTECH must meet the following general requirements:

  1. Scope Alignment: Manuscripts must align with the objectives, focus, and scope of SAINSTECH.
  2. Originality and Scholarly Contribution: Manuscripts must demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution and must not merely repeat previous research findings without sufficient added value.
  3. Methodological Rigor: Research must employ methods appropriate to its objectives and research questions. The methods used must be described adequately to allow scientific evaluation.
  4. Clarity of Presentation: Manuscripts must be organized systematically, written in clear academic language, and present results and discussion relevant to the research objectives.
  5. Compliance with Publication Ethics: Manuscripts must comply with SAINSTECH's publication ethics policies, including requirements concerning originality, citation, authorship, and disclosure of conflicts of interest.
  6. Compliance with Author Guidelines: Manuscripts must follow the formatting, structure, and technical requirements specified in SAINSTECH's Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Evaluation Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their alignment with the journal's focus and scope and compliance with submission requirements. Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements proceed to peer review in accordance with SAINSTECH's applicable policies. Further information regarding the stages and procedures of manuscript evaluation is available on the SAINSTECH Review Process Policy page.
